Small changes on the brow area can make a big impact on your entire look. This is why it’s important to know what an eyebrow enhancement entails before you decide to get one. Here are some crucial factors to consider before you get your eyebrows microbladed.

Are You a Good Candidate for Microblading?

Microblading involves the creation of small incisions to deposit pigment under the skin. This will create hairlike strokes on your brow area that look stunningly more natural than tattooed brows. For it to have a lasting effect, your skin needs to be the right condition to retain the pigment.

If your skin is prone to being oily, you may want to consider other enhancements such as Microshading. It’s important to choose a microblading establishment that will educate you on which treatment is most suitable for you. This is why it’s critical that you compare an establishment and its artists’ work to others before booking an appointment. Make sure that they are widely recognized and legitimate. Las Vegas is one of the fastest growing microblading training hub in the country, so you will find lots of options. Just take note that not all of them do excellent work. Look at their websites and try to find out how they do their procedures. An establishment that offers a consultation prior to your treatment is a good sign that you will get good results. A highly-skilled microblading artist should assess your skin prior to your enhancement to ensure that you are a good candidate for the treatment.

Do You Have Health Concerns?

We recommend women who are pregnant or breastfeeding, those who have chronic illnesses such as diabetes, skin infections, or autoimmune disease, to name a few, to consult with their physician first before they book an appointment. You can then discuss your health concerns with your artist.

Is Your Artist Certified and Qualified?

The most crucial question to ask before getting microbladed is if the artist and the studio that you choose is qualified to perform the enhancement. So many enhancements go wrong at the hands of artists who have had poor training.

At our studio, we ensure nothing less than mastery level artistry and most importantly, we hold your safety and satisfaction in the highest regard. It’s best to choose artists who are affiliated with an establishment that is recognized by the Southern Nevada Health District (SNHD). This guarantees that they adhere to all regulations outlined by the state to ensure your safety.

A strict sanitation rule should be implemented and make sure that the artists use disposable tools – which means they are for one-time use only, to avoid any contamination among clients.

What Can You Expect After Treatment?

Your microbladed brows will need some time to heal. It varies per individual but usually takes between 6 and 8 weeks. You may notice signs of flaking and itching which are normal. Your artist must always provide you with an aftercare kit to ensure that they heal properly.

Freshly micro bladed brows

Depending on your unique skin condition and skincare routines, you will have to come to the studio for touchup sessions for your brows to remain intact and retain their color.

Ultimately, a private consultation with your microblading artist will help you decide if it’s the best enhancement for you. They will discuss all other factors in detail based on your unique needs and if microblading can be done over prior enhancements you may have had like eyebrow tattooing.
