How is Microshading Done?

Depending on the style that you want, microshading uses a PMU (permanent makeup) machine to achieve fuller or denser brows. Instead of creating individual hair strokes, your artist will stipple repetitive dots of pigment on your brow area to create your desired shading effect.

The microshading machine is designed with acupuncture-like needles which allows the pigment to set better on oilier skin and lets the artist emulate a sleek and fuller finish.

Want lighter and more natural-looking brows? See if microblading is for you.

FAQs

How Does Microshading Work?

During your appointment for the microshading enhancement, your MicroBladers Artist will determine the best look to complement your natural brow shape and facial features. Your Artist will apply a numbing cream to the enhancement area prior to the start of your enhancement. During this time, you and your Artist will find the perfect color from our all-natural palette that is perfect for your eyebrows.

Then, your Artist will use a specialized machine or manual tool to render a natural-looking brow in the shape and style you both determined. Only new, disposable tools are used during individual appointments. The appointment may require 2 to 6 passes of color followed by moments of pigment baths. During a pigment bath, the color you and your Artist chose is used to saturate the enhancement area and will begin to absorb into the newly crafted brow structure that has already been applied.

Why Choose Us?

MicroBladers not only offers mastery level artistry, but we also care about making you feel beautiful inside just as much as you do on the outside. We work with each individual client, one-on-one, to determine the perfect look. Then, through our extremely talented and skilled staff, we provide you with a journey that enhances your true beauty to help give you that extra boost each morning as well as throughout the day.

Is Microshading Safe & Sanitary?

At MicroBladers we maintain current Southern Nevada Health District (SNHD) permitting meaning that we are adamant about adhering to all regulations and rules outlined as per the state to ensure your safety and satisfaction are met every time.

We require the use of disposable, one-time use tools and follow all proper sanitizing methods to ensure our client’s health and safety are both held in the highest regards.

Our main goal is the happiness and safety of our clients, which is why we also reserve the right to refuse service to anyone who may be ineligible for any MicroBladers treatment or anyone whose health may be compromised by the enhancement.

While we do everything to ensure a safe and sanitary treatment, each individual’s skin is unique, adverse reactions aren’t always avoidable, and those prone to allergies or sensitivities should alert their MicroBladers Artist prior to receiving a treatment. Testing the skin may be a necessary step, although an adverse reaction is not entirely avoidable.

What is the Benefit of Microshading?

Getting up every morning and trimming time off of your daily beauty regimen is not the only gift of microshading. You’ll wake up feeling more confident, which is the true gift of microshading

What Does Microshading Feel Like?

Everyone experiences pain differently based on personal tolerance levels. However, the majority of clients only have slight discomfort as if they were experiencing an eyebrow tweezing or waxing appointment.

MicroBladers uses a topical anesthetic to help ease any discomfort that you may have during your treatment. Additionally, a secondary numbing topical anesthetic may be used if the client feels any discomfort during the treatment.

How Long Does Microshading Last?

It depends on each individual, but it is recommended that clients receive touch ups every 6 months to 1 year. This allows your MicroBladers Artist to check in with you and determine your unique and individual needs.

How Do I Choose Between Microshading, Microblading, Ombre and Powder Brows?

During your appointment for the microshading enhancement, your MicroBladers Artist will determine the best look to complement your natural brow shape and facial features. Your Artist will apply a numbing cream to the enhancement area prior to the start of your enhancement. During this time, you and your Artist will find the perfect color from our all-natural palette that is perfect for your eyebrows.

Individuals who may be prone to oily or extra oily skin should consider microshading, which will be much more suited for longer lasting brows on this particular skin type. It will also vary as to the look you are hoping to achieve. Work with your MicroBladers Artist by providing images and discussing your ideal look during your free consultation

How Long Does The Microshading Procedure Take?

Depending on your consultation, the average appointment can last between 3 to 4 hours. However, some appointments may take less time while others take slightly longer. Microshading is a completely custom experience so variations occur based on each individual.

Don’t book any appointments right after the procedure as your eyebrows may be red and it’s absolutely necessary to avoid rushing this procedure. Work with your MicroBladers Artist to determine a more precise and individual estimate on the length of your appointment.

How Long Does This Take To Heal?

Again, every individual is unique. On average, clients see that full healing occurs between 6 to 8 weeks. The eyebrow area will show signs of flaking, peeling and itching, which are all perfectly normal with the healing process. Just follow the aftercare instructions your MicroBladers Artist provided in order to maximize the healing process.

How Do I Prepare For My Appointment?

Following your consultation, you will book your actual appointment. At that time, your MicroBladers Artist will provide you with a list of preparation items that include:

  • Avoiding eyebrow tinting, waxing, tweezing or threading at least 7 days prior to your appointment.
  • Ensuring you’ve spoken with your physician regarding the hold of medications used for blood thinning starting three days prior to your appointment.
  • Avoiding the intake of caffeine as well as any sort of supplements like Ibuprofen, Aspirin, Vitamin E, fish oil supplements, and Niacin at least 24 hours prior to your appointment.

What Do I Need To Know For Aftercare?

Following your appointment, your MicroBladers Artist will provide you with a list of aftercare instructions as well as information on follow-up appointments. It is recommended that you do not visit a tanning bed or receive excess amounts of sun exposure. Additionally, it is recommended that you avoid working out, sweating intensely as well as traveling for at least three weeks to ensure the enhancement is healing.

Can Microshading Damage My Skin?

A potential for scarring is greater if you choose a poorly trained microshading artist. At MicroBladers, we ensure that all of our Artists are not only thoroughly trained and certified, but that they have had a minimum 6-month apprenticeship with a Master Level Artist.

Who Shouldn’t Get Microshading?

Our team of Artists considers your health the most important requirement, which is why we recommend those with the following conditions speak with a medical professional prior to booking a consultation:

  • Those who are pregnant or breastfeeding
  • Those 18 years of age and under
  • Individuals with serious illnesses such as autoimmune disorder, diabetes, epilepsy, cancer, major heart conditions, organ transplants, viral infections, skin infections or facial psoriasis
  • Anyone who has taken Accutane within the last year should avoid this procedure

If you aren’t sure whether you are able to get the procedure or not, consult with a physician first and then discuss with your Artist during the consultation your health concerns.

Individuals who may be prone to oily or extra oily skin should consider a different treatment, such as microshading, which will be much more suited for longer lasting brows on oily skin.
