What are Nano Brows vs Microbladed Brows?

It’s all in the wrist, well, that’s one way to describe the Nano Brow technique, but in actuality it’s a difference in the tools and the technique. Nano Brows use both a microblading blade and a permanent makeup (PMU) machine to create extreme precision in the hair-like strokes made with the tools.

Using a PMU machine helps a microblading artist create exceptional and clean strokes while not having to deposit the pigmentation too deeply into the skin. This results in a long-lasting brow that experiences potentially less trauma.

Microblading uses an extremely thin blade on a hand-held tool and your microblading artist carefully and skillfully manually creates hair-like strokes depositing pigment into the skin. It all comes down to the appearance of more natural brows with microblading versus a more defined makeup brow with Nano Brows.

Do Nano Brows Hurt Worse Than Microbladed Brows?

Regardless of whether you get a Nano Brow enhancement or a microbladed brow enhancement, most individuals feel only a slight discomfort, but pain is always within how an individual reacts personally and specifically to pain.

While most find getting either brow enhancement done to be non-invasive, if you are more sensitive to pain, it’s always advised to work with your brow artist to test and ensure you can undergo the process.

Are Nano Brows More Cost Effective Than Microbladed Brows?

While the average Nano Brow enhancement is commonly priced between 50 to 200 dollars more, it depends on the skill level of your microblading artist for the exact pricing. Those that are advanced in their offerings — often referred to as Master Level Artists — will be on the higher side than beginning artists.

Ultimately, it’s up to you, as the client, on your comfort level of your artist’s skills as well as your preference for the type of brow look you like.
